The Big Texan Steak Ranch & Brewery, originally founded as The Big Texan, was brought to life by former rodeo cowboy Bob Lee. Contestants who finish the meal within the time limit receive the meal free of charge, and their names and pictures are added to the restaurant’s Wall of Fame. The challenge has received worldwide recognition and has been featured in numerous television shows, movies, and articles.
In addition to steak, The Big Texan Steak Ranch also offers a variety of other menu items, including burgers, sandwiches, salads, and Tex-Mex dishes. The restaurant also has a brewery that produces a range of beers and ales, including its signature Big Texan Amber Ale. The brewery offers tours and tastings, and the restaurant has a gift shop that sells a variety of souvenirs and merchandise.
